Investing in Employee Wellbeing is a Growing Strategic Priority for Employers

Study after study shows that frontline and middle-skill workers are struggling, stressed out, and distracted. HR departments are working overtime to find qualified applicants in a competitive market. Employers want to keep their dedicated employees, and they lose out when a worker stops showing up or needs to be let go. But if employees are dealing with huge challenges at home, they can't deliver their best at work. A rapidly growing cohort of employers have decided that the solution to help their employees stay on track is a wrap-around support service called Resource Navigation. This new class of employee benefit helps employees navigate life so they can thrive at work.

The data shows that addressing employees' work-life challenges increases productivity, retention, recruitment, and profitability, and employers are taking notice. In just the first quarter of 2019, the number of employers providing a Resource Navigation benefit to their employees grew 13%. Even more impressive, the number of employees with access to a Resource Navigator grew 37%—83,650 workers are now getting this benefit from their employers. Employers will invest more than $1.5MM in Resource Navigation for their employees in 2019. Take a look at the data we collected this quarter:
